As the nights are drawing in and the year's end is nearly upon us, it's time to cosy up with candles and mulled cider by the fire. Before you know it it'll be time to hang up the mistletoe, gather up holly and pine cones, and invite friends and loved ones to fill your home, so we're kicking off the festive season with a cheese and cider tasting in our Farm Shop.

The secret to a hygge Christmas is friends, family, and plenty of food. So keep it simple and let the cheese take centre stage, pairing perfectly with a full party spread of charcuterie and pickles, figs and nuts.

Friday 16th November

To help provide inspiration for the upcoming season of entertaining, from the cheeseboard to the wine rack, we are holding a Christmas Cheese and Cider tasting evening on Friday 16th November from 5:30pm.

Our long-standing ambassador, Stuart Dowle, will be hosting the event in our Farm Shop, and will be on hand to lead you through a tutored tasting of our multi-award-winning wedges. Stuart will also be joined by Polly Hilton, owner of nearby Find & Foster Fine Ciders, who will be sampling her pétillant naturel style cider alongside our cheese.

The shelves will be packed with yuletide essentials, specially selected from local artisan producers - from Christmas cake to festive crackers, Kenniford Farm meat to festive drinks from Lyme Bay Winery - giving you the chance to buy local this Christmas and get your shopping all wrapped up in plenty of time.

The Quicke’s Farm Shop is now taking Christmas cheese, hampers and turkey orders and is open Monday to Saturday from 9 am to 5 pm until the festive break.
