If you are a regular visitor to Exeter or are thinking about staying in the area for a couple of weeks, Co Cars might be the perfect eco-friendly travel option for you: ideal for those days when you want to head out to explore Exeter’s surrounding coast and countryside. 

Join Co Cars and you can arrive in Exeter by plane, train or coach safe in the knowledge that you’ll have a whole fleet of hire-by-the-hour or day electric and low emission cars at your disposal. Their electric fleet includes VW ID.3s, Renault Zoes and the Fiat 500e.

You’ll find over 40 Co Cars parked in dedicated bays at locations around the city, including Exeter St David’s and Central Train stations, so wherever you’re staying, you’ll never be far from a Co Car.

Book your chosen car using the Co Cars app, collect from its dedicated bay, unlock with your smartcard, then simply return the car to the same bay at the end of your trip.

Pricing

Co Cars makes perfect sense for your wallet as you only pay for the time you drive, not all the hours you don’t. It costs £30 per year for individual membership or £40 per year for household membership. Hire prices start from £4.25/hour or £32/day + 21p per mile. Their electric fleet costs from £5.75/hour or £43/day +4p per mile. Fuel, insurance, tax, maintenance and emergency cover are all included so there are no hidden costs.

Find Co Cars at locations in central Exeter including Exeter Central and Exeter St. David’s as well as neighbourhoods across the city and at other locations around the South West. Members of Co Cars can book any car in the network.

Co Cars also operates the Co Bikes electric bike hire network, ideal for journeys around the city itself or for exploring the Exe Estuary Cycle Trail.
