About

Tiverton Museum is an award-winning, family friendly local museum telling the history of Tiverton and Mid Devon. Explore the large collections from laundry to lace making, bicycles to brewing and carts to costume. One of the most popular objects is the ‘Tivvy Bumper’ GWR steam engine – stand on the footplate and hear the sounds of the engine at full steam. Families are well catered for with explorer backpacks, gallery activities and quizzes all available. The museum runs a programme of special events and exhibitions throughout the year.
