About us:

The museum which is fully registered with the Museums and Galleries Commission, features the history of the town and port of Topsham including shipbuilding and ship owning, and the wildlife of the Exe Estuary. It incorporates a late 17thC house furnished in period.

Pick up a free Topsham Trails leaflet from the leaflet box attached to the Museum’s Riverside Garden gate (also available from local outlets) to discover two walking trails of Topsham, with historical information, picture puzzles for children and an inviting pictorial map by Phil Keen.

      Road Directions

      M5 junction 30, take A376 towards Exmouth. Turn right to Topsham by George & Dragon Inn. Go over level crossing and turn left immediately to the quay.

      Public Transport Directions

      Nearest station is Topsham station. Follow brown tourism signs to the quay and then turn left into strand.
