About

QUEENS PLATINUM JUBILEE CELEBRATIONS – BEACON LIGHTING

Building on a long tradition of lighting beacons to mark significant royal celebrations, we are joining others across the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth in lighting a Beacon on the first evening of the four-day Jubilee Weekend (on Thursday 2 June 2022). As part of the Cities celebrations  which are taking place throughout the day, the lighting of the Beacon will enable local communities to join us and pay tribute to Her Majesty, as part of the official programme of events. We hope that you will join the Lord Mayor and the Exeter Sea Cadets in marking this poignant occasion on the evening of the Thursday 2 June 2022. The event will also be supported by the Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue Band and The Maynard School Choir and will be taking place on the Exeter Quay.

For more information on what we have planned throughout the day,  including how you can get involved in the Jubilee Street Party, please visit: Exeter's Jubilee Street Party - Jubilee events in Exeter, Exeter - Visit Exeter
