Person running on a scenic road

The Exeter Half Marathon is a great, traffic-free, flat route run along the footpath and cycle track of the River Exe and Exeter Canal.

Whether you’re training for an autumn 2021 marathon, like the London Marathon, or you’re looking to push yourself to run your first half marathon, this is the perfect event to give you a goal to work towards in your training. It’s also the perfect follow-up event to our Virtual Half Marathon in February.

This popular event has a new date for 2021 and is specifically planned in June, for this year, to reflect the changes to the running calendar and to provide you with the best opportunity to see how your Autumn Marathon training programme is going.

The event takes place on Sunday 27th June, starting at 8.30am. The route starts and finishes at the Piazza Terracina at Exeter’s Historic Quayside with Race headquarters based at Haven Banks Outdoor Education Centre, EX2 8DP. The minimum age for this event is 17 years old at the time of the event.

As well as the pride that comes with finishing a half marathon, you’ll receive one of our brilliant medals!

For the first time this year, we’re excited to offer a limited number of free places to those who wish to take part to raise money for us. As a charity, we rely on donations and fundraising to help us fund our vital community programmes, so we’d love to have you take part in this event for us. If you’re interested in one of our charity places, contact Stacey, our Business Development Manager, at stacey.hedge@ecfc.co.uk.
