A course that introduces you to some basic techniques and materials and encourages you to experiment and develop you own style. Perfect for beginners and those wanting to develop their approach to drawing
This course focuses on developing observational drawing skills, learning about the basics of drawing during the 5 weeks we will be studying:
- Observation
- Line
- Proportion
- Volume
- Light and shadow
- Texture
- Basic and creative composition
We will be using graphite pencil, sanguine, white pencil, colour pencils, soft pastels and oil pastels.
You will also be encouraged to use what you’ve learned to explore your own creative ideas and personal approach.
We aim to create a safe space in which to share ideas and give constructive feedback on each other’s work.
