Heritage Open Days 2019 - St Nicholas Priory


The two surviving wings of the Medieval St Nicholas Priory will be open to the public, with guided tours throughout the day.

On Friday 7th September, the Mayor of Exeter will be presenting the Exeter Historic Buildings Trust with the key to the Priory. Bread and wine for guests, and a guided tour of the Priory.
Originally part of Exeter’s first medieval monastery, this Grade I listed building is presented as a richly furnished Tudor home. Admission is free during Heritage Open Days. 900 year old guest wing of former Benedictine Priory. Now adorned with quality replica furniture and painted with the bright colours of the Tudor period. The former home of the wealthy Hurst Family. Drop into St Nicholas Priory for free and get to know this stunning Elizabethan town house a little better as part of the national Heritage Open Days initiative.
