For the third year in a row, we're delighted to be teaming up with Literature Works to bring a day of getting to grips with the practicalities of writing. This time, we're coming to Exeter, the newly appointed UNESCO City of Literature!

08:30-09:15: Registration & welcome tea and coffee

09:15-09:30: Introduction from Writers & Artists and Literature Works

09:30-10:30: Writing With Humour and Heart with Amita Murray

In this session, Amita will explore how writers can navigate through the emotions of writing and how to unlock their creativity to write without fear.

10.30-11:30: Writing From Experience with Nell Stevens

In this session, whether you're writing memoir or fiction, Nell will discuss how you can tell your story without compromising the truth or memory.

11:30-12:00: Break

12:00-13:00: Writing In The Past with Alex Reeve

In this session, Alex will discuss the responsibilities of writing in the past and how writers can capture the heart of their setting.

13:00:14:15: Lunch (lunch included)

14:15-15:00: Key note author talk on with Sara Collins

15:00-16:00: Panel discussion with leading literary agents on how to submit your manuscript: Juliet Pickering from Blake Friedmann and other literary agents to be confirmed.

16:00-16:30: Drinks reception
