Hungersleep records are excited to announce that GRICE will be performing on Friday 6 October at Exeter Cathedral Chapter House in Exeter as part of the Lost Weekend Festival.

The electro-acoustic musician and singer-songwriter Grice will be performing a cocktail of electronica and atmospheric art rock and will be accompanied by very special guest Italian avant-garde and freeform jazz trumpeter Luca Calabrese. The unique line up is completed by Duncan Chave (Eigenharp/programming), Fred Ehresmann (keys/grand piano) & Bellatrix (bass/double bass).

Grice has built his reputation as an art-rock artist since the release of his acclaimed debut album Propeller which features renowned saxophonist Raphael Ravenscroft (Pink Floyd, Gerry Rafferty), Hossam Ramzy (Led Zeppelin, Peter Gabriel), Markus Reuter and PJ Cole amongst others. His much anticipated second album Alexandrine, features keyboardist and sonic innovator Richard Barbieri (Japan/Porcupine Tree) as both musical contributor and co-producer, Steve Jansen (Japan) and 05Ric (Gavin Harrison) on drums. With airplay on The Tom Robinson Show (BBC6 Music), BBC Introducing (James Santer), BBC Radio Devon (John Govier Show, Vic Morgan), PhonicFM and radio stations in Europe and USA, GRICE is carving his space in the left-field art rock music scene.

“Today, all kinds of awesome things are happening all over the world. For once technology truly is everywhere and affecting everything at an incredible pace. However, it is only when technology mixes with other human elements – art, ideas, music, design – that the really special things, the things that will change the world, happen.”   Dr Alberto Arribas, MET OFFICE INFORMATICS LAB
