Formed in the early 70s in Jacksonville, Florida, southern hard rock band Molly Hatchet have lived the rock'n'roll dream for three decades. As well as being a multi-platinum selling and hard-touring band (notching up an average of 250 live shows a year), they have also toured with such legendary bands as Aerosmith and The Rolling Stones.
Taking their name from a 17th century axe murderess who beheaded her lovers, Molly Hatchet and their Southern contemporaries Lynyrd Skynyrd gave birth to an electrifying mix of blues, country, gospel and rock in the 70s, which came to be known as 'Southern Rock'. Best known for their hit Flirtin' with Disaster, Molly Hatchet have survived the inevitable line-up changes and the passings of band members, and are touring and rocking the world harder than ever!
