Pitter-patter - make a rain stick

About

Ever wanted to create the magic of a rainstorm right in your own hands? Imagine holding a piece of the sky, where each tilt of your wrist brings forth a gentle shower of rain. Used by cultures across the globe for thousands of years, a rain stick is a traditional percussion instrument. It is usually made from hollowed-out cactus, bamboo, or even cardboard tubes. Inside, it’s filled with small pebbles, beans, or rice, which gently tumble over internal obstacles like nails or thorns as you tilt and turn the stick. The result? A mesmerizing cascade of sound, mimicking the pitter-patter of raindrops falling gently from the sky. With just a humble cardboard tube, a sprinkle of rice, and a dash of creativity, join us to craft an enchanting rain stick of your own that sings with every shake.
