Rooted in the cool, sophisticated sounds of 1950s American West Coast jazz, The Will Paley Quartet deliver an authentic and heartfelt tribute to the lyricism, balance and subtle swing that defined an era. Their sound captures the breezy elegance and melodic clarity of the style - a fresh yet faithful nod to the golden age of cool jazz.
Paying homage to iconic pairings such as Art Pepper & Chet Baker, Gerry Mulligan & Paul Desmond, and Lee Konitz & Warne Marsh, the quartet’s set features timeless classics like Take Five, Chili Pepper, Line for Lyons and Boplicity, alongside deeper cuts from the era’s vast and vibrant repertoire.
Featuring Will Paley on alto saxophone, Jesse Molins on guitar, Marcus Vergette on bass, and Coach York on drums, this ensemble brings a fresh take on the timeless tones of the West Coast sound - elegant, expressive, and effortlessly cool.
