Wildlife Art Exhibition

About

This is an exhibition of wildlife art by local artist Lexi Alyx Chambers. Lexi is a self taught artist and Nurse at the royal devon and exeter hospital. She had a routine surgery on her left foot 6 years ago, which lead to her developing chronic regional pain syndrome in her foot. She went on to have a further 5 surgeries, and in April this year opted to have a below knee amputation of her left leg in an attempt to rid 6 years of agonising pain. It was whilst recovering from these surgeries that Lexi started to discover a love of drawing wildlife. She now has work displayed in galleries throughout the country. Lexi used to be very fit and active, partaking in many events including cycling, running, swimming, tennis, climbing and many more. Since the amputation she is now keen to try to get some fitness back. So the proceeds from the exhibit will be going towards getting lexi an active wheelchair, and towards an event she is planning for June 2020, where she is attempting to become the 1st woman ever to wheel herself from lands end to John O'groates using an everyday, normal wheelchair.
