Serving the South and South West of England, but with a national and international reputation, the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra strive to be the model of a 21st century orchestra, enhancing lives through the power of music.
Regarded as “the cultural heartbeat of the South West”, they perform over 140 concerts each year, serving their home territory of over 10,000 square miles with full symphonic concerts in Poole, Bournemouth, Exeter, Bristol, Portsmouth, Basingstoke, Cheltenham, Salisbury and beyond.
In Exeter they perform at the Great Hall on Exeter University's campus in around 11 or 12 concerts per year, performing a huge repertoire with a rotating cast of world-renowned soloists.
Alongside their busy concert schedule, BSO Participate deliver events in over 200 locations across 23 Local Authority areas, extending their reach and impact far beyond the concert hall.
