Exeter’s festival of writing and storytelling, with events and workshops for children and young adults at venues across the city.
22 - 30 October Witches & Wizards Tours at Exeter's Underground Passages
Children are invited to explore under the city's streets on special 'witches and wizards' guided tours and discover ingredients for magic spells. Using the ingredients found, the young adventurers are challenged to concoct their own magic spell and enter it into a competition with the opportunity to win one of many fantastic prizes!
22 – 30 October Halloween at Crealy
Get set for spooky adventures at the interactive Creaky Hotel and the creepy treehouse, or create your own jack-o'-lantern in the Animal Kingdom. Free pumpkin for every child visiting the park.
29 & 30 October Fireworks at Crealy
Crealy's annual fireworks finale, taking place this year over two nights, with the opportunity to enjoy the rides after dark! Fireworks at 6pm.
23 – 30 October Snakes & Lanterns at Powderham Castle
Follow the Pumpkin Trail to win your own pumkin to carve in the Potting Shed, and have a close encounter with Dartmoor Reptiles!

Part of Exetrem Imagination. Join Jack as he goes on a journey full of adventures around the museum, and create your own adventure using art and drama in this fun and creative practical workshop aimed at 5 - 8 year olds.

A chance for under fives to take a journey of discovery and make collections-inspired creations.
26 October Family Activity at RAMM, 10.30am - 12.30pm and 1.30pm - 3.30pm
Use your imagination and artistic skills to create your own Halloween Mask. Free, drop-in event.
27 October Roman Activities & Tours at RAMM, 10.30am - 12.30pm and 1.30pm - 3.30pm
Learn about life in Roman Devon with short activities including designing your own Roman coin, laying out a mosaic floor to your own design, having a go at a Roman board game and examining real Roman coins under a microscope. Free, drop-in event.
27 & 28 October Darts Farm Pumpkin Festival
Kids have the chance to pick their own pumpkin from the farm, with pumpkin decorating and treats throughout the afternoon.
28 October Southernhay Gardens Street Food Market
Grab a freshly prepared lunch from local, independent traders in the haven of Southernhay Gardens, with space for the kids to run around under the trees.
29 October Double Locks Fireworks
Head to this waterside pub from 5.30pm, for a BBQ and drinks, then watch the spectacular fireworks display after 7.30pm, followed by a bonfire and live music from Dirty Money.
