Following a successful evening last year, Helpful Holidays are proud to announce the return of their 'Guide to Holiday Letting' event for 2024. This relaxed and educational evening is the perfect chance to learn all you need to know about holiday letting in the South West.

The ‘Guide to Holiday Letting’ event is perfect for anyone who’s interested in running a successful holiday let, from experienced holiday home owners to those who are yet to join the market. If you’d like to increase your properties bookings and optimise income, you’re sure to find this evening useful.

The event will be held on Thursday, 22^nd February 2024, at The Devon Hotel in Exeter, and will include a complimentary buffet and drinks. Save the date for an enlightening evening with Helpful Holidays’ experienced, local team.

What to expect

Helpful Holidays’ Dartmoor-based team are a fountain of knowledge, with more than 40 years’ experience marketing and managing over 550 self-catering holiday properties. At this event they will present the latest statistics on the performance of the holiday let market, key booking trends, and their expectations for 2024.

Presentation topics will include:

• Marketing: the health of the staycation market and our key marketing strategies
• Tips to optimise your property’s booking and revenue potential
• Starting your holiday letting journey; step-by-step guidance for first time holiday home owners
• Updates on holiday letting regulations
• Holiday let tax saving advice

The evening will cater to new, experienced, and aspiring holiday home owners, making it a great learning opportunity for anyone who’s interested in the industry!

Plan for the evening:

Complimentary welcome drink (6pm): The Helpful Holidays team will start the evening with a warm welcome and some time to mingle over a complimentary drink. This will be your chance to settle in and prepare for an informal, educational evening.

Presentation – Guide to holiday letting (6:30pm – 7:30pm): You’ll hear from two speakers with an extensive knowledge of the South West holiday let market; Emily Mercer, Marketing Manager for Helpful Holidays, and Emma Hallam, New Property Consultant. The pair will share up-to-date statistics, customer booking trends, and insights for the year ahead.

Complimentary buffet and networking (8:00pm – 9:00pm): Following the presentation a delicious complimentary buffet will be served, before a chance to network with industry professionals, including representatives from Helpful Holidays, Stags Estate Agents, and Zeal Tax. This will be your opportunity to share experiences, ask questions, and build trusted relationships in the holiday letting community.
