About

St Sidwell's is a one-form entry Church of England Primary School set in the heart of Exeter that caters for children from ages 3 to 11.

We are a happy, thriving and successful school in the heart of Exeter city that we are all proud to belong to.

The aim of our school is to enable children to understand the world and their unique place within it. All children have the opportunity and will be encouraged to develop to the full, their potential, intellectual, social, and spiritual capabilities.

All the staff at St Sidwell's work hard to ensure that children's learning is meaningful and relevant, basing as much learning as possible on first hand experiences of the local environment. Knowledge and skills are taught to enable children to develop their creative and investigative abilities whilst building their confidence in numeracy and literacy skills.

We acknowledge that all children are unique and will have different abilities to celebrate and share. We particularly value the cultural diversity of our children an families, and use this to develop tolerance, respect and understanding of other cultures and religions within the context of our Christian Foundation. This is built on a strong partnership between parents, staff, and our local comnunity which results in a shared understanding of the aims and purpose of our school.

We aim for our whole school community to feel valued and part of a team with a common purpose, and to feel a sense of fulfilment.
