The South West has a wonderful productive climate and people who are passionate about producing local seasonal food. The weekly Farmers Market in the West Quarter has fresh local produce and offers friendly service from knowledgeable producers. Held every Thursday on the junction of Fore Street/South Street in the city centre for over 30 producers between 9am-2pm.
New for 2025, the Quayside Farmers Market takes place on the third Saturday of the month, featuring a wide range of traders from baked goods with an international flavour, organic vegetables, all types of meat, fish, cut flowers and potted plants, honey, farmhouse preserves, chutneys and cordials, and more. Each month will feature new and different stalls.
The Exeter Christmas Market is a seasonal favourite with both locals and residents. The perfect place to get in the festive spirit, whether you're there to purchase a gift for a loved one, meet family and friends for scrumptious food and drink or to simply soak up the atmosphere!
The Fore Street Flea Market returns to the West Quarter on Sunday 13th July, 14th September and 23rd November. This outdoor market event offers everything from vintage treasures and pre-loved clothing to handmade crafts, original art, and delicious food and drink.
Exeter’s highly popular Sunday Market & Car Boot Sale is open every Sunday from 6am until 2pm at the Matford Centre.
Topsham's Saturday Market takes place at Matthews Hall. Here you'll find fresh produce, delicious bread and treats, jewellery, paintings, garden plants, toys, books and much more, all of which are produced locally. The market is centrally located in Topsham, with a public car park next door and plenty of bike storage. Feel the atmosphere from the minute the doors open at 8.30am as both visitors and locals make their way in for tastes and treats as well as some good old-fashioned service. Open every Saturday until 1.30pm.
The monthly Brillsville Market takes place in the Kings Arm car park, St Thomas, every second Saturday of the month from 9am-1pm, offering everything local, from fresh bakes to handmade crafts, vintage finds to eco essentials!
