Art Week 2025: Campfire Exeter: Literary Salon

McCoys Arcade, Fore Street, Exeter, EX4 3AN
Many open books laid out together

About

Join us around the campfire for an evening of storytelling, poetry, and discussions at Exeter's Quarterly Literary Salon! Campfire will host a special event during Art Week. Campfire offers a cozy environment where creativity can flourish and stories can come to life.

Each edition of Campfire centres around a prompt phrase, inspiring submissions of fiction, non-fiction, prose, poetry, or plays. The prompt can be taken literally or more of a jumping-off point, it's all up to you. Writers are encouraged to submit works that can be read aloud within 10 minutes, allowing for a dynamic evening of storytelling and shared ideas. For this campfire the prompt is: "The colour that didn't exist".
