About

We've now been running the hugely popular and always oversubscribed BanterFest for the last 4 years in Lincolnshire. During that time we've learned that folks love the fun and friendly vibe of what we've built up, love the cosy size of BanterFest, love the feeling of having found a community / family / tribe and love the unbelievable lineups of artists that we've carefully curated each year.

We have toyed with the decision as to whether to expand the festival, but have concluded that we don't want to risk losing it's special charm.

So we've decided to share the love around the country and launch a second BanterFest in the SouthWest of England. Our beautiful, boutique folk festival will take place on the weekend of 8th - 11th May 2026. The weekend will feature up close and intimate concerts from some of the biggest A-list artists in the folk world in a wonderful, cozy venue nestled in the idyllically rural Teign Valley village of Christow, Devon right on the edge of Dartmoor National Park.

This friendly gathering has everything you love at bigger festivals: camping; singing; dancing; sessions; workshops; real ale and top nosh as well as the lighthearted and now-traditional Banter'Lympics, but with that close knit, part-of-a-family feel.

The line up for our previous BanterFests have been world class and this new event will be no exception, with the very best artists being booked for the Friday eve, Saturday afternoon & eve and Sunday afternoon concerts.

Total tickets will be limited to 250 and will be sold on a first come, first served basis, after which we will set up a waiting list for any returned tickets.
