About

As a lot of you know, we've now been running the hugely popular and always oversubscribed BanterFest for the last 4 years in Lincolnshire.

During that time we've learned that folks love the fun and friendly vibe of what we've built up, love the cosy size of BanterFest, love the feeling of having found a community/family/tribe and love the unbelievable lineups of artists that we carefully curate each year.

We have toyed with the decision as to whether to expand the festival, but have concluded that we don't want to risk losing it's special charm.

So we've decided to share the love around the country and launch a second BanterFest in the SouthWest of England -

BANTERFEST SOUTH WEST!!

Our beautiful, boutique folk festival will take place on the weekend of 8th - 11th May 2026. The weekend will feature up close and intimate concerts from some of the biggest A-list artists in the folk world in the wonderful Teign Valley Community Hall nestled in the idyllically rural Teign Valley village of Christow, Devon, right on the edge of Dartmoor National Park.

Weve taken the blueprint for BanterFest South West from our much loved Lincolnshire BanterFests: camping; singing; dancing; sessions; workshops; real ale; great food plus the lighthearted and now-traditional Banter-lympics!

The line-ups for our previous BanterFests in the East Midlands have been world class and this new event will be no exception, as you can see from the line-up poster. Also, weve got an exciting surprise guest joining us at the festival that were keeping under wraps for now, but trust us, you wont want to miss them!

Total tickets will be limited to 250 and will be sold on a first come, first served basis, after which we will set up a waiting list for any returned tickets.

As usual, weekend campingis available and new for this year is the option to stay on Sunday night too. The festival finale concert will finish as usual on Sunday afternoon but the bar and facilities will remain open on Sunday evening with an open session continuing til late. You will then have until 12 noon on the Monday to vacate the campsite. N.B The campsite will open at 12 noon on the Friday with the hall and bar opening at 4pm. The first concert of the evening begins at 7pm.

All other info about the festival will be available on our website www.banter.band [http://www.banter.band]
