Following their successes with Bouncers, Blackadder Goes Forth and Nevilles Island, Tambourine Productions returns to The Blackmore Theatre in 2026 with their latest production, Blackadder the Third.
Set in the Regency era, the play follows the endlessly scheming Edmund Blackadder, trapped in service to the outrageously foolish Prince Regent. With the help, and frequent hindrance, of the eternally dim Baldrick, Blackadder hatches a series of elaborate plots to better his position, only for them to unravel through stupidity, bad luck, and social absurdity.
Packed with razor-sharp wit, verbal sparring, and classic Blackadder cynicism, this fast-paced theatrical romp skewers class, privilege, and power, delivering a gloriously silly and satirical evening of comedy.
