About Alright Mate?
Alright Mate? is an award-winning arts organisation that makes participatory art projects that normalise conversations about mens mental health.
Comedy isn't just about making people laugh. It's a surprisingly powerful tool for mental and emotional well-being. Research shows that laughter lowers cortisol (the body's primary stress hormone), boosts endorphin production, and enhances overall mood. Participants regularly describe feeling stronger, more resilient, and happier after exploring their personal stories through stand-up.
