At a dinner party at Loxley Manor in 1925 David Trent, only son of Sir Philip and Lady Margaret Trent decided to propose to his young lady, Abigail Chalmers.
Initially she appeared hesitant but the pressure of the evening made her accept and as the dinner proceeded there seemed to be an atmosphere of celebration in the air.
However, by the end of the night, Abigail lay dead, apparently poisoned. Who was responsible? Why was she killed?
The Police are called and an investigation ensues. Secrets and lies come to light and the tension mounts. Will there be another death?
All the clues will be there to lead to correct culprit but will they be correctly deduced. The Investigator, together with the other guests present is determined to get the truth before the night is over.
