Exeter Cathedral is thrilled to welcome rising German organist Jan Liebermann for a special recital on Wednesday 17 July at 7pm as part of our Summer Concert Series.
Hailed as one of Europes most exciting young organ talents, Liebermann will showcase the full expressive power of the Cathedrals magnificent organ in a wide-ranging and virtuosic programme.
The evening begins with Healey Willans grand Introduction, Passacaglia and Fugue, followed by Bachs beloved Air from the Orchestral Suite No. 3, in a lyrical arrangement by Sigfrid Karg-Elert. Also featured are Alfred Hollins stirring Concert Overture in F minor, John Irelands playful Capriccio, and Maurice Durufls evocative Suite Op. 5from its rich Prlude to the dazzling Toccata.
This promises to be a memorable evening of colour, power, and finesse from one of the next generations brightest stars.
