Topsham Art Festival, celebrating 60 years of Topsham Art Group with over 20 events for all ages.
Come along to sketch or paint out around Topsham or join in The Shipwright's Shoal, helping to reconstruct a fragment of Topsham's shipbuilding heritage. There are art activities for children and families in the Museum Garden on Strand, or you could 'Sip and Paint' at The Old Firestation. And if you've ever stared at a piece of art and thought 'my 5-year-old could have done that', then come to hear Susie Hodge, art historian, at Matthews Hall who will talk about 'How to Survive Contemporary Art'.
The rich history of 20th century artists in Topsham can be enjoyed with the picture boards on the old bank, and the shopkeepers are joining in the celebration with the art-themed 'best dressed window competition' – judging by the Lord Mayor of Exeter in the first week of July. See which is your favourite!
