Haldon Forest Park Cafe has recently been renovated and relaunched under new management, offering a fresh and welcoming space for everyone visiting the forest. Whether you are out for a woodland walk, cycling the trails, or spending a day with the family, the cafe provides a relaxed environment to sit down and enjoy the surroundings. The updated space has been designed to offer a comfortable experience and high-quality food in this beautiful forest setting.
The food and drink
The cafe serves breakfast every morning from 9am, with lunch served from 12pm to 4pm. The menu changes with the seasons and includes daily specials, with a focus on providing great options for vegan and coeliac guests. Visitors can choose to sit inside the newly updated cafe or head outside to the decking area, which is fully accessible by a ramp and perfect for enjoying the forest air.
The Pantry: Grab & Go
For those who want to get straight back to their adventure, The Pantry is the ideal place to grab something and go. It's perfect for putting together a picnic, offering barista coffee, smoothies, and shakes, as well as fresh sandwiches and salads prepared onsite daily. Their homemade sausage rolls, hot pasties, and local ice-cream are also great choices for a quick break between trails.
Local sourcing
Supporting local businesses is at the heart of the business' values. The management works closely with nearby suppliers to ensure ingredients are fresh and seasonal. By sourcing bakery goods from just 6 miles away and meat from a local butcher within 22 miles, the cafe focuses on quality while supporting the local community.
Dogs and accessibility
The cafe is designed to be accessible for all visitors. There is level access into the building and a wide ramp leading up to the large outdoor deck. As Haldon is such a popular destination for dog walkers, well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome both inside the cafe and out on the deck.
