Bear Town is reopening for the third time since it launched in October 2020!

Bear Town is a unique role play centre where young children can try a host of “grown up” jobs, from vets and mechanics to firefighters and hairdressers. At Bear Town, there are no rules on imagination. Children will be encouraged to let their imagination run wild and be who they want to be, encouraging children to ‘Learn Through Play’.

Ben Jordan, owner of Bear Town, said he wanted to create a unique play experience which offered more than just play.

He said: ‘We are so excited to reopen! Since October we have only been able to open for 42 days and this is now our third opening. We can’t wait for more people to experience our amazing town and all it have to offer. Role play helps children to broaden their personal, social and emotional development, expand their communication and language skills, all the while gaining confidence and most importantly having fun. Bear Town has been carefully created to offer a fun educational experience that supports the Early Years Foundation Stage, yet all the children know is that they are having an amazing time.’

Each ‘room’ will have a QR code which can be scanned. Parents can read all about the learning in that area and how to help their children make the most of the experience. Bear Town has been designed to be inclusive. The town is accessible for wheelchair users and all room signs area also displayed in braille. Cleaning and resetting will take place between each session, ensuring the town is ready for the next set of discoverers.

Inside Bear Town is a relaxing café where visitors can enjoy a selection of hot and cold drinks including freshly ground coffee, homemade cakes, snacks and delicious locally sourced meals during their visit.
