Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra are back at the Great Hall for another wonderful concert season in Exeter! Their nine upcoming evenings in Exeter sees them joined by a rotating cast of world-renowned soloists and conductors, but it’s your attendance that makes each concert so special.

If you’ve never seen the orchestra in action before, now’s the perfect time to book your tickets. This season the BSO really have a stellar line-up here in Exeter.

Autumn arrives with golden leaves and golden orchestral numbers with The Power of Love on 9th October. A particularly exciting concert as it sees the BSO’s Chief Conductor Mark Wigglesworth making his Exeter debut! He’ll be joined by one of the UK’s most sought-after baritones - and the BSO’s 2025/26 Season’s Artist-in-Residence – Roderick Williams. An evening of intrigue and exploration awaits…

And November packs a punch with the orchestra taking two soirées to the Great Hall throughout the month. Sunshine and Shade (13th November) sees the orchestra under the baton of renowned conductor David Hill to play one of Tchaikovsky’s most popular pieces, Variations on a Rococo Theme, Mendelssohn’s extroverted Fourth Symphony and more.

And a glorious display of virtuoso for Hollywood Hit (27th November) when soloist Ning Feng joins the orchestra for Korngold’s spirited Violin Concerto.

And then it’s time to step into Christmas – which the BSO do in the most sensational symphonic style with their Last Night of the Christmas Proms (19th December)! This year’s iteration of the orchestra’s annual celebrations sees them joined by star of the West End, the effervescent Jenna Lee-James! Get ready for orchestral classics, traditional Christmas numbers new and old, and a selection of Broadway and West End hits. This evening of festive fanfare is sure to be a highlight of the season!

Into the New Year, the musical momentum does not slow down with five more euphonious evenings at the Great Hall with the BSO! Packed with crowd-pleasing pieces like Ravel’s Boléro, Mozart’s Symphony No.41 ‘Jupiter’ and Shostakovich’s Piano Concerto No.2, you’re really going to be spoilt for choice throughout 2026.
