January often feels like a good time for a fresh start – a time for resolutions, resets, and new experiences. This year, InExeter is inviting you to make the most of that energy with January Sessions: a series of creative, social, and alcohol-free evenings across the city.

If you’re embracing Dry January or simply looking for a different kind of night out, these sessions are the perfect way to start 2026. Think hands-on workshops, inspiring activities, and relaxed social vibes – all designed to help you reconnect, learn something new, and have fun without the pressure of drinking.

Why January Sessions?

Nicola Wheeler, CEO at InExeter, said:

“January can feel like a pause after the buzz of Christmas.  January Sessions makes it easy to reconnect, learn something new and enjoy a great night out, without the drinking.”

The January Sessions are all about making that pause meaningful – giving you the chance to recharge, meet new people, and discover hobbies that last beyond the month. Whether you’re crafting, reading, or sipping a tea-based mocktail, you’ll find plenty of ways to start the year feeling inspired!
