Get ready for a wild adventure in the heart of Exeter as Princesshay launches its spectacular Go Wild animal trail from 19th May.
For six exciting weeks, visitors can explore a free interactive trail featuring 10 impressive turfed animal sculptures inspired by some of the world’s most iconic wildlife. From towering giraffes and powerful gorillas to lions, rhinos and zebras, the city centre will transform into an urban safari spread across nine different locations.

Perfect for families, friends and curious explorers of all ages, each animal stop offers something unique to discover, learn and enjoy.
Discover fascinating wildlife facts
In partnership with Paignton Zoo, every sculpture will feature fascinating animal facts, behaviours, habitat information and conservation stories. Visitors can learn more about the incredible creatures that inspired the trail while exploring Exeter city centre.
There will also be opportunities to win an unforgettable animal encounter experience at Paignton Zoo through special competitions across Princesshay’s social media channels.
Learn British Sign Language along the trail
As part of the experience, The Deaf Academy has created a series of engaging short videos teaching visitors how to sign each animal in British Sign Language (BSL).
By scanning QR codes at each sculpture, visitors can take part in a fun and inclusive learning experience suitable for all ages.
Spot the animals, collect the letters, and win big
The trail also includes a free interactive challenge. At every animal stop, visitors can collect hidden letters to uncover a secret word before entering a competition via a QR code.
One lucky winner will receive the incredible Devon’s Top Attractions Golden Ticket, worth more than £1,500. The prize offers up to four people free entry for one visit to participating attractions across Devon for an entire year.
May Half Term walkabout performances
The fun continues during May half term as Princesshay welcomes a vibrant programme of free animal-themed walkabout performances from 26th - 29th May.
