Colour at RAMM

Explore the power, meaning and impact of colour with a vibrant new exhibition at RAMM - Colour. Through fascinating objects, artworks and interactive displays, the exhibition reveals how colour shapes our emotions, cultures, identities and everyday lives. Perfect for art lovers, families and curious minds, this colourful new exhibition is a must-see in Exeter this summer.

The exhibition runs until 6th September 2026.

June Boom

June Boom returns this summer with a month-long celebration of arts, culture and entertainment across the city. Throughout June, Exeter will come alive with live music, theatre, comedy, dance, literature, art exhibitions, street festivals and family-friendly events taking place in venues and outdoor spaces across the city.

Whether you’re discovering local talent, enjoying major performances or exploring Exeter’s vibrant cultural scene, June Boom offers something for everyone and is the perfect way to experience the city this summer.

3rd to 6th June - Exeter Comedy Festival

Exeter Comedy Festival brings laughter to the city this summer with an unmissable programme of stand-up, improv, sketch shows and live comedy events across Exeter.  Featuring established acts alongside rising talent, the festival takes over a range of venues, offering something for every comedy fan. From intimate performances to big headline shows, expect a packed schedule of feel-good entertainment, sharp wit and plenty of laughs. It’s the perfect excuse for a fun night out in the city.

4th June - First Thursday

First Thursdays is bringing a new wave of energy to Exeter this summer. From June to September, Gandy Street transforms into a lively evening destination on the first Thursday of each month, with late-night shopping, live music, street entertainment, extended opening hours and a vibrant cocktail trail. Running from 5pm - 8pm, it’s the perfect excuse to explore independent businesses, enjoy the atmosphere and experience a festival feel right here in the heart of Exeter.

6th & 7th June - Exeter Respect Festival

Exeter Respect Festival returns with a vibrant celebration of diversity, culture and community in the heart of Exeter. Taking place in Belmont Park, this free festival brings together live music, dance, food, workshops, talks and family-friendly activities inspired by cultures from around the world. Visitors can explore global street food, enjoy performances across multiple stages and discover community groups and local organisations throughout the weekend.

7th June - The Book Market

The Book Market writes a brand new chapter this June as it moves to the beautiful surroundings of Exeter Quay. Set against the waterside backdrop, visitors can browse independent booksellers, rare finds, second-hand treasures and literary gems for all ages. From fiction and non-fiction to children’s books and collectibles, it’s the perfect place to discover your next great read. 

20th June - Sustainable Seas Festival

A free, new event on the Exeter calendar, the Sustainable Seas Festival brings together organisations and individuals dedicated to keeping our seas and waterways free from pollution. Come along to Exeter Quayside and discover local conservation projects, explore heritage ships and traditional maritime crafts, and meet the people working to protect rivers and seas. 

25th to 27th June - Live at Powderham 

Experience an unforgettable summer of live music at Powderham Castle with TK Maxx Presents Live at Powderham. Featuring headline performances from Lewis Capaldi, Teddy Swims, and Alanis Morissette, expect huge festival energy, street food, camping and a vibrant atmosphere across the magnificent Powderham estate. With sunset sets and unforgettable moments under the stars, it’s set to be one of the standout music events of the summer near Exeter.

28th June - Jazz on the Quay

Bringing smooth sounds and toe-tapping rhythms to the waterside, Jazz on the Quay begins its weekly residence this month. From soulful solos to upbeat ensembles, it’s the perfect way to spend a lazy Sunday afternoon by the water. Grab a drink, soak up the riverside views and let the music take the lead this summer.
