If you love shopping local and discovering new flavours, Cofton Holidays has unveiled an exciting new foodie destination in South Devon.

Following a major expansion, the newly transformed Cofton Shop is now packed with locally sourced food, drink and artisan products, bringing together some of Devon's finest producers under one roof.

Located within Cofton's beautiful 80-acre holiday park near Dawlish, the new shop is open to both holiday guests and local residents, offering a unique opportunity to support independent businesses while discovering the very best of the county.

A celebration of local produce

The expanded shop is the result of a £1 million investment and has enabled Cofton to significantly increase its range of local products. Working with around 80 Devon suppliers, the shop showcases everything from locally raised meats and freshly baked bread to craft drinks, handmade gifts and sweet treats.

Visitors can browse products from well-loved Devon brands including Chinn's Sausages, South West Sandwich Company, Sandford Orchards, Surfing Cow, Salcombe Brewery, Exeter Gin Company and Devon Rum Company, alongside many other independent producers that celebrate the region's rich food and drink heritage.

Freshly baked favourites

Designed to feel warm, welcoming and rooted in its surroundings, the spacious shop features an on-site bakery serving fresh pasties, bread and cakes from Shaldon Bakery. Freshly ground coffee is available throughout the day, making it the perfect place to pause and enjoy a treat.

Those looking for something sweet can head to the shop's ice cream window, where Surfing Cow's indulgent Devon-made ice cream is served daily.

More than just a shop

A visit to Cofton doesn't have to end with the shopping. Local families can make a day of it thanks to a growing programme of activities now open to residents and day visitors. From pottery sessions and wildlife walks to creative workshops and family-friendly experiences, there are plenty of opportunities to enjoy the countryside while trying something new.

Dine at Amelia’s Café

Food lovers can continue their culinary journey with a visit to the award-winning Amelia's Café. The café works closely with many of the same local suppliers featured in the shop, creating seasonal dishes that champion the best ingredients Devon has to offer.

Whether you're stopping by for coffee and cake, lunch with friends or a leisurely family meal, Amelia's offers the perfect complement to a day spent exploring the new foodie destination.

Shop local, take Devon home

More than just a convenience store, the new Cofton Shop is a celebration of Devon's independent spirit, talented producers and exceptional local food scene. Whether you're searching for unique gifts, stocking up on local favourites or simply looking for somewhere new to explore, it's a destination that invites visitors to taste, shop and experience the very best of Devon.
