We’ve put together an adventurous itinerary below - so get your walking boots on and tie those laces tight, you have the freedom to explore Exeter and beyond!
Day 1
Book a family break at the award-winning Ladram Bay Holiday Park, which boasts a stunning private beach or a little further up the coast is the glamourous Lympstone Manor, for a piece of luxury in a tranquil setting. If you’d like to stay in-between Exmouth and Exeter, Courtbrook Farm offers the best of both worlds for your visit!
AM – Spend your first day exploring the World Heritage Jurassic Coast. You’ll be spoilt for space in this corner of Devon. Take a gentle stroll across the sand with a morning coffee and even indulge in an ice cream, a must when you’re at the seaside!
12:00 – Enjoy a delicious, freshly-caught dish at Rockfish Exmouth, located in the town’s marina. Dine in the restaurant with a gorgeous view of the estuary or take-away your feast and carry on exploring the coastline.
PM - Set sail on-board a Stuart Line Cruise, departing from Exmouth. Sit back, relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery as you make you way along the World Heritage Jurassic Coast. This well-established cruise line has a variety of different routes along our coast – book a seat on a River Exe Cruise, a Guided Bird Watching Cruise or even a Cream Tea River Cruise! Visit their summer and winter trip pages for more information how to book. Expect special festive cruises this winter, you can even go on an evening cruise ship sightseeing tour of the ships anchored close to Teignmouth and Babbacombe, don’t forget to wave hello to the crew!
Day 2
AM – Explore the Exe Estuary Trail this morning before your onward journey to Exeter. Hire a bike for your group at Darts Farm for the morning, you’re now free to cycle along the estuary at your leisure!
PM – After you’ve returned your bikes and grabbed a bite to eat at Darts Farm, it’s now time to travel into Exeter! Time to get your walking boots on! Our city is well-known for its wonderful walks, perfect for taking a breath of fresh air and escaping the everyday. The Exeter Green Circle is a twelve-mile walk along the outskirts of the city - from green countryside valley parks to the pavements of quiet leafy suburbs. Along the way explore The University of Exeter’s Sculpture Walk, discover 3 decades of moving imagery at the Bill Douglas Cinema Museum and have a picnic in Ludwell Valley Park or Mincinglake Valley Park! Fancy a different place to stay tonight? Book a room at The Devon Hotel and enjoy a hearty meal within their cosy settings before another busy day in Exeter tomorrow…
Day 3
