Exeter Quayside

If you're visiting Exeter, Exeter Quayside should not be missed! One of the most beautiful areas of the city, this is the place to relax, get active, dine al fresco or discover more about Exeter's maritime history.

There is no shortage of things to do on Exeter Quayside, or if you just want to sit and watch the world go by, choose from a great choice of waterside places to eat.

Just a short, ten-minute walk from Exeter city centre, the Quayside is easy to reach on foot, simply follow the signs or view a copy of the Visit Exeter map here. As with many historic cities, Exeter was built on a hill, so the footpaths leading down to the Quayside can be fairly steep. If you would prefer not to walk, catch the G bus from the High Street, which runs hourly Monday – Saturday between 10.15am and 3.15pm.
