Hire a Bike to explore the beautiful Exe Estuary Trail, part of the National Cycle Route 2. One of the best cycle trails in the country, it is accessible for all. Start your journey in Topsham at Route 2 Bike Shop, and enjoy a scenic ride alongside the river to Exmouth, Exeter or Dawlish, all of which are within easy reach in around 30 minutes.

We offer a selection of hybrid, electric, road, and children's bikes for hire along with child and dog trailers, child seats or tag-alongs so we can cater for most needs.

Our Route 2 Bike Shop has a range of bikes and accessories for sale and is equipped with a fully kitted out workshop to carry out routine maintenance as well as those emergency repairs that may be needed along the way.

Road Directions

Topsham is around 5 miles south of Exeter. From junction 30 off the M5, follow signs to Topsham. Parking is available at Holman Way car park (turn next to train station), Topsham Quay car park, Matthews Hall car parkand Tappers Close car park. There is also some on street parking available along Holman Way but please be aware of areas that are permit holders only. Route 2 Bike Shop is next to the mini roundabout at the bottom of Fore Street, next to Topsham Quay.

Public Transport Directions

Train - Topsham rail station is five minutes walk away. From the station, head towards the quay along Holman Way. Route 2 Bike Shop is on your left at the end of the road.

Bus - T bus or #57 from Exeter/Exmouth. Follow signs for the Quay.
