You Can Sauna

About

Authentic wood-fired sauna and cold plunges in the forest at Mamhead (Forestry England), near Exeter and Newton Abbot.

You Can Sauna was founded by childhood friends Yussef and Jake, who travelled the country trying mobile saunas in beautiful nature spots and wanted to bring that home to Devon.

The sauna is a traditional wood-fired design, handmade by artisans, with window looking into the trees. We run it between 70 and 100 degrees, targeting around 90, though it is a live fire so the temperature moves. Alongside the sauna are several cold plunges for the hot and cold contrast, plus a fire pit and outdoor seating for between rounds. Sauna hats are available to borrow, there is an electrolyte concentrate to add to your water, and every guest gets a free cup of From Trees tea.

Mamhead is an off-grid forest site: no running water, no drinking water, and no showers. Please come showered and bring plenty of water, at least a litre each. There is a portaloo for emergencies and cold plunges and watering cans fed by a water bowser for cooling off.

In summer 2026 we moved a few minutes down the road from our original home at Haldon Forest Park, to help protect Haldon's ecology. Sessions at Mamhead run from Saturday 15 August 2026. Communal sessions, private hire, and practitioner-led rituals all book at youcansauna.com.
