Cotley farm flings wide its gates to give you a traditional Christmas welcome!
So wrap up warm, search out those gloves, mittens, scarves and hats and revel in the atmosphere of a beautiful festive setting. Christmas is always a special time for us and we love seeing old friends and new as they visit us on our family farm nestling on the hill above the village of Whimple.
For the last 24 years we have been growing trees in our own plantations and partnering with local growers we know and trust, to meet your needs. We have the luxuriant foliage of the low drop Nordmann spruce and the delicate pine smell of the Fraser and Norway spruce. From small trees in pots right up to large statement trees for outside your house there is much to choose from. Wander amongst the freshly cut trees and select from a wide range of size and shapes.
Our Reindeer are coming in from our fields to meet you and joining for the first time are two new handsome boys 'Brandy' and 'Snap'. The sheep and cheeky goats are back with the adorable piglets to complete the festive farmyard.
Hiding in the straw are the Cotley Christmas mice who have excitedly laid a trail for you to follow as they prepare for the big day! When you have found your way, gather round the smoky wood fire and toast marshmallows.
Our Christmas shop is bursting with delicious West Country produce, pickles and jams and cider from apples grown in our orchard! There are beautiful decorations to dress the trees, hampers for special gifts and stocking fillers fill every nook and cranny in our timber lodge.
New this year are the weekday 'Miss Miranda's Christmas Music Time' for pre school children. So Mums and Dads why not grab a coffee and cake from the café and join us in the Nativity barn and relax with your children and be entertained?
Our refreshing take on the real Christmas story, in collaboration with Cranbrook Church, will unfold in two unforgettable afternoon Nativity performances.
Please note we have a booking policy to manage numbers. Booking fees are refunded if you buy a Christmas tree.
