Galactic Skies – Charity Firework & Drone Spectacular

About

Galactic Skies brings a spectacular combined fireworks and drone show to Westpoint Exeter on Saturday 7 November 2026. It is the only event of its kind in Exeter, and every ticket sold helps support local good causes.

Unlike commercial fireworks displays, Galactic Skies is a not-for-profit event. It is organised and run entirely by volunteers from Exeter Round Table, which is now in its 46th year of bringing fireworks to the city. Nobody involved is paid, and all profits go to local charities, including Devon Air Ambulance, the lifesaving air ambulance service for the county.

The display will be delivered by British Firework Champions Sonic Fireworks. Hundreds of drones will light up the night sky, some of them carrying pyrotechnics, alongside award-winning fireworks, all choreographed to an epic soundtrack.

The entertainment starts well before the main display. Visitors can enjoy a large funfair, street food, bars and entertainment from when the gates open at 5pm. Star Wars fans can meet stormtroopers from the UK Garrison 501st Legion, weather permitting.

Getting there is easy. On-site car parking is available, and Stagecoach is running dedicated buses from the city centre and from the Sowton and Honiton Road Park & Ride sites. A combined bus and entry ticket costs £11 and includes return travel.

Over the years the event has raised more than £500,000 for good causes across the area, including over £40,000 for more than 20 local charities in 2025 alone. Buying a ticket goes directly towards supporting the local community, and the organisers are grateful to all the sponsors and partners who help make the evening possible.
