This talk gives a lively introduction to Exeter’s maritime history. Archive photographs, music and song accompany stories about people and events that shaped Exeter’s ‘heritage harbour.’ In 1700, the port and its canal was considered the fourth most important in the country. Now it might justly be described as ‘Exeter’s lost route to the sea.’
The presenter will be Jon Bell, who is both an Exeter Redcoat Guide and chair of Exeter Heritage Harbour Group.
