In this brand new version of Shakespeares famous Scottish play, join us to experience Wild Thyme Theatre's cast of three actors move between a range of courtly, soldierly and other-worldly characters. Intimately set within the ancient walls of Exeter's St Nicholas Priory, the production take us on an exciting journey through time along the blood-stained path to power.

Hear these ancient lines resonate through a building older than the play itself as your imagination roams back to the 11th century. Macbeth offers us a chance to reflect on the nature of trust, ambition and power - forces that still shape our world today. As we experience this tragic masterpiece, rich with poetry, we ask ourselves where our loyalty should really lie: towards loved ones, leaders, land or just ourselves? Expect to see this classic tale in a bold new light.

Wild Thyme [https://www.instagram.com/wildthymetheatre/], founded by Charlie Coldfield and Micha Colombo, works with professional actors to breathe new life into classical texts. As long-term collaborators of Lightbear Lane and this production builds on the success of Measure for Measure (2024), Titus Andronicus (2025) and The Merchant of Venice (2026)as part of the inaugural South West Shakespeare Festival in Exeter. Their production of Macbeth was originally created in collaboration with Villages in Action and The Italian Garden, Great Ambrook in summer 2026.
