The Ocean Can Be a Bridge

About

1846, the personal and political tensions simmering in the Abolitionist movement reach boiling point with the arrival escaped slave and abolitionist Frederick Douglass in the Westcountry. The fight to end slavery intensifies, and the stakes couldnt be higher, particularly for Douglass himself. He is torn between being the public face of an international movement and being true to himself. An extended version of The Ocean Can Be A Bridge returns to Exeter after a run of sell out performances in the autumn of last year, it then goes on to Bridport Arts Centre and the Alma Tavern Theatre for a week's run in Bristol.
