Rockfish are taking the tough, but necessary, decision to temporarily close all our Rockfish restaurants from Saturday 21st March.
Amongst the treats at this consistently award-winning restaurant are sustainably sourced and locally landed seafood, often cooked within hours of being caught. From your table by the Quayside enjoy simple, relaxed, ingredient-driven quality food for the whole family.
Rockfish restaurants celebrate the very best of local and sustainable seafood with a menu of local fish, freshly fired, grilled or cooked on the plancha, plus a whole bunch of cornucopia of seafood dishes to try, from cracked crab to scallops in the half shell, from fried local hake to whole sea bass depending on the season, unlimited fresh cut chips, salads, slaws, garlic bread, sundaes and whipped ice creams. Everything is available gluten free and there are dishes for the vegetarian and vegan diner too. The drinks include great wines chosen by their sommelier, their trademark Seafood Coast beer, cider and gin as well as locally pressed juices. Enjoy views across the water, watch the boat activity and fishermen landing the daily catch, some of which will be on our menu that day.
Behind the theatre and chic styling is an ethos grounded in sustainability and understanding the importance of safe-guarding fish for future generations & promoting a positive awareness of community & resources; they have ‘Ocean Protector’ Kids packs uniquely designed by them as well as taps for water outside their buildings for anyone to use helping reduce plastic waste. Not only is their fish from sustainable sources, like the local hake, but founder Mitch Tonks is also UK ambassador for the Marine Stewardship Council.
Fish tastes better by the water, come down to England’s Seafood Coast and see for yourself.
