Located in the Queen St Dining complex within the Guildhall Shopping Centre, Pho prides itself by serving healthy, authentic Vietnamese dishes to foodies with a taste for all things fresh and colourful.
We were invited to the restaurant to try out their lunch menu one busy Friday afternoon - and it did not disappoint. We sat outside, as although the weather was a little unpredictable, the outdoor area was fully covered, allowing us to enjoy our alfresco experience without worrying about the weather!
To start with, we chose a plate of veggie summer rolls - fresh paper rolls with herbs, vermicelli and pickle. These rainbow-coloured parcels were the perfect starter; enough to leave you excited for your main but not so much that it ruins your apetite. To drink, we ordered coconut, pineapple and apple and pineapple, apple and mint fruit juices, which were made fresh to order and were super yummy.
Then it was time to choose our main course. We ordered the beef vermicelli noodles - served with a zingy lemongrass & chilli wok-fried topping, fresh herbs, beansprouts and a delicious veggie spring roll to top it off. Our second dish was the classic steak pho - this warming, flavoursome noodle soup is served with a side of fresh herbs for you to add whenever you'd like!
