Many would say it's the most iconic British culinary invention and that there's nothing more quintessentially British than the humble sandwich.

British Sandwich Week (20th to 26th May) is a week-long celebration of the greatest food to go and we've picked out some top spots around Exeter to get your sandwich fix. We're not just talking cheese and pickle or tuna and mayo here but some culinary masterpieces that are a lunchtime game changer.
