May is here, and with it comes the much-anticipated return of the Fore Street Flea on Sunday 18th May.

Now in its ninth year, this iconic market has become a firm favourite in Exeter’s cultural calendar, drawing crowds to the heart of the city’s West Quarter for a day of discovery, community, and celebration.

What to expect

Earning a reputation as a haven for bargain hunters, visitors can expect an eclectic mix of stalls, offering everything from vintage fashions and treasures, and pre-loved clothing to handmade crafts, original art, and delicious food and drink. There's something for everyone at this bustling street market.

In addition to the vibrant market atmosphere, attendees can also enjoy live music provided by Music In Devon Initiative through the MIDI Stages project which will be situated outside The Music Depot. Live entertainment and a relaxed, friendly atmosphere make the Flea a perfect way to spend a Sunday in the West Quarter.

First launched in 2016 as a grassroots initiative by local traders, the Flea has grown into one of Exeter’s most loved community events. Now delivered by InExeter, the city’s Business Improvement District, the Flea continues to support small businesses and showcase the creative spirit of the West Quarter.

Mark your calendars, as the Fore Street Flea has several dates set for 2025:

  • Sunday 18th May
  • Sunday 13th July
  • Sunday 14th September
  • Sunday 23rd November

Join InExeter in the West Quarter on Sunday 18th May (12pm - 4pm) for the first Fore Street Flea of 2025 – a day full of unique finds, great food, and something for everyone to enjoy.
