From wine tasting and sea shanties to quiz nights and musical bingo, accompanied by an array of delicious local produce, take a look at what's on at Greendale this season.

October

Candle Workshop with Illumine Candle Co - Sunday 26th October, 3pm to 5pm

Each participant will craft two signature candles - perfect as handmade Christmas gifts or elegant décor for your home. Choose from a range of seasonal scents, add colours, botanicals or glitter, and personalise your labels. Guided by Illumine’s expert makers, you’ll enjoy a hands-on experience as you mix and hand-pour your own creations. With festive fragrances and plenty of creative flair, this workshop is the ideal way to embrace the cosy spirit of the season and take home something beautifully unique to light up those winter evenings.

November Quiz Night - Monday 10th November, from 7pm.

Grab your friends and get your thinking-caps on for quiz night in the Greendale Kitchen. Settle in for a multi-round general knowledge quiz, followed by a fun round of Play Your Cards Right. Places are limited (teams of up to 6 people) so don't miss out.

Something Lovely Baby Prints - 10th, 17th and 24th November, from 10am to 6pm

The perfect way to capture treasured moments forever, join host Em (from Something Lovely Pottery) to create newborn prints, milestone prints and other celebrations and gifts.

Sea Shanty Night - Monday 17th November, 7pm to 9pm.

Enjoy a rousing evening of traditional sea shanties and good company as Devon-based trio Batten Down the Hatches come to Greendale. Live music and fun for all the family, of course it wouldn't be a proper sea shanty without an accompaniment of classic Greendale fish & chips (and homity pie for the veggies!) for you to enjoy during the performance.

Christmas Wine Tasting - Monday 24th November, from 7:30pm to 9:30pm

Join Greendale for a festive wine tasting to experience the fantastic wines included in their Christmas Catalogue this year. Learn all about tasting wines and flavour profile from wine-expert Paul and pre-order your Christmas wines.

Love Local Christmas Market - 29th November to 24 December, from 10am to 7pm

Free to explore, discover unique gifts, handmade crafts, fresh produce and artisan drinks from amazing local makers. The perfect place to stock up for Christmas and find some unique gifts for your loved ones.

Murder Mystery Night - Sunday 30th November, from 7pm to 10pm

Christmas 1943 promised joy for the Palmer family, until tragedy struck: their uncle, dressed as Santa, was found dead beneath the tree! Their evening is interrupted by Detective Chief Inspector Appleby, who brings shocking news. As his investigation unfolds, hidden secrets emerge, another tragedy strikes, and the guests must help him piece together the clues before the night is out.

December and New Year

Music Bingo - Monday 8th December 2025, from 7pm 

All of the adrenaline of classic bingo but instead of numbers on a bingo card, it’s songs! Listen carefully to the chorus of incredibly well known songs and just tick them off as you go on your bingo card. Everyone's got a chance to win, with prizes for 1 line, 2 lines and a full house!

Christmas Quiz - Monday, 15 December 2025, from 7pm 

A festive edition of Greendale's much-loved quiz night and you'll be treated to a complimentary glass of Mulled Wine on arrival as well as Christmas Loaded Fries to enjoy whilst you're quizzing!

New Year’s Day Parkrun - Thursday 1st January 2026, 9am

Start the new year as you mean to go on with a refreshing community run.  Whether you're chasing a PB, enjoying a morning stroll or just here for the cows and coffee, everyone's welcome at Greendale Parkrun. With stunning views and friendly animals along the way, you can walk, jog, run, volunteer or spectate - it's up to you!
