Exeter Rugby by Train

An outing to see rugby team the Exeter Chiefs in action at their home ground of Sandy Park is not to be missed! There is always a great atmosphere at Sandy Park, so arrive early to grab a pint and a Devon pie or pasty, then stay on after the game to continue the celebrations in the bar with live music. Travel by train with GWR

Travelling to Sandy Park by train is easy, and means you can start the rugby chat earlier with other supporters! The Exeter to Exmouth railway line runs right past the stadium with a regular service on match days. Digby & Sowton station is less than 10 minutes’ walk from Sandy Park, while Newcourt Station is also an option for travelling fans and is within a 15 minute walk from the stadium.

After the match, get the train back into Exeter city centre for dinner at one of the city's fantastic local pubs, such as the Old Firehouse, or the Turks Head, where it's more than likely you'll bump into other rugby fans for a post-match analysis over a few drinks!
