Our historic city of Exeter is full of wonder and discovery around every corner! We’ve put together an itinerary below for those looking to ‘Escape the Everyday’ and learn something new whilst they’re visiting Exeter…
Day 1
10:00 – Exeter’s much-loved Royal Albert Memorial Museum is open to the public once again on Saturday 24th October. Travel through time as you embark on a voyage of discovery through pre-history to the present day, from Exeter and all around the world! Explore 16 galleries including world cultures, zoology, local history and more plus visit their three exhibition spaces. You’ll need to pre-book your visit, click here to choose a day that works for you!

12:00 - Discover new tastes at Pho in Queen Street Dining. Treat your taste palate to fresh, Vietnamese street food to fuel the rest of your adventures today!
13:00 – Make your way to Exeter Cathedral for an exclusive Roof Top Tour. Discover the Nave, followed by the Lead Room and Ringing Chamber in the South Tower, then make your way over to the spaces in the North Tower. Day 2
11:00 – Discover the fascinating history of Exeter as you join an Exeter Red Coat Guided Tour – the city’s popular and free tours that allow you to explore one of the oldest cities in England. Whether you embark on a Georgian Exeter tour, a walk around Exeter Quay or you bring Exeter’s forgotten history back to life – we’re certain you’ll learn something new this morning! PM – Set sail on-board a Stuart Line Cruise, departing from Exmouth. Sit back, relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery as you make you way along the World Heritage Jurassic Coast. This well-established cruise line has a variety of different routes along our coast – book a seat on a River Exe Cruise, a Guided Bird Watching Cruise or even a Cream Tea River Cruise! Expect special festive cruises this winter, you can even go on an evening cruise ship sightseeing tour of the ships anchored close to Teignmouth and Babbacombe, don’t forget to wave hello to the crew!
