Classics Galore! returns to Exeter in November 2026, bringing together music lovers, supporters and local communities for a spectacular evening in aid of FORCE Cancer Charity. Known as Exeter's very own Last Night of the Proms, the event combines outstanding live music with a powerful charitable purpose, raising vital funds for local people affected by cancer.
Taking place at the University of Exeter's Great Hall on Saturday 14 November, the concert will feature more than 200 musicians and singers performing a programme of much-loved classics, familiar favourites and a traditional Proms-style finale. BBC Spotlight presenter Victoria Graham will once again host the evening, sharing her enthusiasm for an event that has become a highlight of the region's cultural calendar.
Since it was founded in 2007 by Exeter resident Dick Passmore and his wife Posy, Classics Galore! has raised more than £150,000 for FORCE. Conceived while Dick was living with cancer, the event was created to bring people together through music while helping others facing the challenges of a cancer diagnosis. Although Dick sadly died in 2019, his vision continues to inspire audiences and performers alike.
More than just a concert, Classics Galore! is an opportunity to remember loved ones, celebrate those who have overcome cancer and ensure others can access the care and encouragement they need. The most recent concert raised an incredible £23,500, helping FORCE continue to provide free services including counselling, complementary therapies, practical advice and wellbeing support. As FORCE receives no Government or NHS funding for these charitable services, fundraising events like Classics Galore! are essential.
With an uplifting programme, exceptional performers and a shared commitment to supporting local people affected by cancer, Classics Galore! 2026 promises to be a memorable evening of music, hope and community spirit.
